Joanna Flora is a registered, licensed board certified art therapist who works with children and adolescents. She currently practices in Morris and Sussex Counties in New Jersey.
Joanna has extensive experience working with children and teens with developmental disabilities as well as significant expertise in assisting individuals experiencing loss, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors and trauma.
Art therapy integrates psycho-therapeutic techniques and the creative process to improve mental health, self-awareness, and overall well-being. The American Art Therapy Association describes art therapy as “a mental health profession that uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages.
The puzzle piece in Joanna’s logo is a play off of the symbol for Autism awareness while having a playful feel. The movement of the puzzle piece represents the creative process which is the journey, not the destination.
While branding the website and other marketing materials, patterns that incorporate the puzzle piece and shades of blue tie the items together.
Print items such as tri-fold brochures, flyers, folders, direct mail pieces, and holiday cards allow the brand’s personality to shine through. The contrast between the dark blue and whites holds your eye while guiding you through the necessary information.
